NIKODA K9 SOLUTIONS LLC
Morgann grew up wanting to work with dogs. From a young age her family ran a rescue out of their home in Florida. While they worked with every pet imaginable – cats, bunnies, rodents, reptiles, farm animals, and even one emu – the dogs always had a special place in her heart. In addition to rescue work, Morgann also volunteered in vet clinics until she was old enough for her first official veterinary internship at 14.
Morgann spent several years in veterinary medicine. She left home and started school at the University of Georgia in 2017. At one of the clinics she was working at during her first semester she happened to meet someone who bred and trained German Shepherds for Bomb Detection work. In her free time, Morgann started volunteering at this working dog kennel and got a real taste for training dogs at a high level. During her time at the working dog kennel Morgann was a part of the training and certification process for multiple dogs that went on to police, military, and private handlers. This is where she discovered her true passion for training dogs, and left vet school to pursue this new venture.
Morgann studied canine behavior, obedience, tracking and trailing, search and recue and detection dog programs through Georgia K9 National Training Center. Upon graduation from the program, she moved west to Arizona to start working full time in dog training. During her time in AZ Morgann started venturing into training protection dogs, in addition to working alongside local Search and Rescue teams, while still continuing her work alongside animal rescues and shelters.
In 2022 Morgann and her partner decided to leave Arizona and move to Washington to be closer to family. After 3 years, the next big move was to our current location in Climax, North Carolina. Morgann has continued to grow her business and knowledge, attending multiple training schools and seminars across the country to grow her skill set. Currently at roughly 14 years of experience in dogs she has helped countless dogs and their human counterparts through every struggle imaginable. Morgann has made it her goal to continue to grow and learn throughout her entire career in order to continue to provide dogs and their humans the best experience possible.

Philosophy
Balanced Training for a Balanced Dog
At our training program, we believe in a balanced approach that creates clear communication, reliable obedience, and lasting results for both dogs and their owners. Balanced dog training combines positive reinforcement and fair corrections through the principles of operant conditioning — rewarding desired behaviors while discouraging unwanted ones in a humane, structured way.

Every dog is different, which is why we customize our training methods to fit each dog’s temperament, drive, and learning style. Depending on the individual dog and training goals, we may use tools and rewards such as clickers, treats, toys, play, slip leashes, prong collars, or remote collars (e-collars). These tools are introduced responsibly, with an emphasis on proper education, timing, and communication.

Our goal is not just obedience, but building confidence, engagement, and a stronger relationship between you and your dog. Through consistency, accountability, and clear guidance, we help dogs learn how to make better choices both at home and in the real world.
